PM says U.S. officials appreciate developments in business sector in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - The American officials have appreciated the developments in the business sector in Moldova, as well as the reforms to enhance the investment attractiveness. Prime Minister Pavel Filip made statements to this effect in an interview given to a private TV channel during a visit to the USA.  

The PM said the United States is a strategic partner for Moldova and the visit was very important.  

“I tried, on this short period of time, to cover more dimensions. We discussed trade and economic sector. I had meetings with businesspeople from the United States, during which we considered the latest developments on the dimension of business in Moldova. Also, I had a meeting at the Department of Commerce, within which we spoke about the enhancement of the investments attractiveness and the last achievements in this field. In response, I received positive messages and a description of programmes in which Moldova can participate as well,” Filip said.  

„The discussions I had at the Department of State were extremely important. We spoke about the complex political situation in Moldova and I think that this discussion had been expected for a long time. We exchanged opinions on the progress and aspects where we should made more efforts. I am happy that we had this discussion,” Pavel Filip said.  

Prime Minister Pavel Filip paid a working visit to the United States on 24-26 June, during which he had more meetings with high-ranking officials.
