Interaction regulations of Service 112, emergency services published in Official Journal

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Interaction regulations of the Single national service for emergency calls 112 and Emergency Services were published in Official Journal today.
The document provides for a clear delimitation of duties of 112 Service and Emergency Specialist Services – Emergency Medical Service (SAMU), General Police Inspectorate (IGP) and General Emergency Inspectorate (IGSU).
According to Regulations, 112 Service will retrieve and transfer to specialised services info on emergency calls within a medium term not exceeding 40 seconds from call time.
As such, specialised services will receive non – stop emergency calls sent by 112 Service in an average term not exceeding 05 – 10 seconds.
The 112 is single number for emergency calls, active in all EU Member States. It operates on a non – stop basis and can be called free of charge by every citizen on fixed and mobile phones. Starting 01 July 2018, all calls to numbers 901, 902 and 903 are redirected to 112.
