Political repressions' victims of Moldova to receive higher allocations from state

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - The quantum of the monthly state allocation for the rehabilitated victims of political repressions will increase as of 1 September 2018. The parliament approved a draft law to this effect in the first reading today.

Under the draft, the rehabilitated victims of political repressions of the period 1917-1990 will receive a monthly state allocation of 500 lei, against 100 lei at present.

As many as 8,452 rehabilitated victims of political repressions will benefit from increased allocations. The quantum of the allocation for these victims has not been increased since 2012.

As much as 12.9 million lei will be earmarked from the budget for the increases scheduled. The money is seen within the limit of the transfers from the state budget to the state social insurances budget for this year.
