Moldovan parliament speaker to have own Banner

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today approved the regulation of the Banner of the parliament speaker.  

Under the Regulation, the speaker’s banner is a national symbol of Moldova, which will represent a vexillogical personalized office sign of the parliament speaker and will symbolize his authority at the supreme legislative body of the people.  

The document sees that those present at the ceremonies on raising the banner of the parliament speaker, on the occasion of solemnities, will stand, men will honour it with the heads uncovered and servicemen of all ranks will give the honour according to the military regulations. Moldova’s citizens and foreigners staying in Moldova are obliged to show respect towards the Banner of the parliament speaker and not to commit acts through which it is offended. Profaning the banner will be liable to civil responsibility.      

The Banner of the parliament speaker will be used in original format, duplicate and copies. At the parliament’s foundation meeting, the oldest MP will hand the original Banner to the speaker at the ceremony of swearing in office. The original banner will be preserved in the job office of the parliament speaker and will be taken out in public only on the occasion of official ceremonies.    

Duplicates and copies of the Banner will be hoisted at the official residence of the Moldovan parliament speaker and on the job transport means used by the speaker.

The image of the Banner of the parliament speaker would be reproduced on souvenirs and protocol objects, made to order of the Moldovan parliament’s secretariat, with the agreement of the parliament speaker.
