Moldovan – American dialogue priorities discussed by Prime Minister, US Ambassador

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip received today US Ambassador to Moldova, James Pettit. The officials approached the whole spectrum of the Moldovan-American partnership, in particular following the recent visit by the head of the Executive in Chisinau to the United States of America.

According to the government's communication and protocol department, it was highlighted the imperative of communication on all available channels for the qualitative achievement of the issues agreed upon in discussions with the US Administration and Legislature. PM Pavel Filip expressed gratitude to the United States for generous support given to Moldova in various fields and formats.

In particular, it was appreciated the US support for the United Nations General Assembly resolution on the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Moldova and for the US Congress resolution reflecting the support for our Western aspirations.

In other range of ideas, the officials exchanged views on recent developments at national, regional and international levels.

US Ambassador to Chisinau, James Pettit, reiterated US support for strengthening bilateral Moldovan-American dialogue and for advancing the pro-Western course of Moldova.
