Moldovan deputy PM attends meeting of National council for public administration reform

Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, participated on 16 July at the meeting of the National council for public administration reform, chaired by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, where there were examined the undertaken actions for restructuring of central public administration (APC) and objectives for upcoming period, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
PM Pavel Filip mentioned that the implementation of the Strategy of public administration reform was a government priority since taking office, emphasising that recent several actions have been taken on it.
In this context, it was carried out a review of steps taken to reform APC, including: reducing the number of ministries from 16 to 9, depoliticising the public office, reforming control institutions, research and innovation.
The meeting also examined the implementation of Action Plan for 2017 on the implementation of the Strategy of public administration reform in areas such as public policy development and coordination, public service modernisation, public administration accountability, public finance management and human resources management.
