Fifty nine projects implemented in eight countries, within JOP Black Sea Basin 2007 – 2013

Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ – Under the Joint Operational Program (POC) Black Sea Basin 2007 – 2013, there have been successfully implemented 59 projects in social development and economy, environmental protection, as well as culture and education. There have participated eight countries in the programme: Moldova, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the data are included in a final report on programme implementation, approved by its Joint Monitoring Commission. The programme aimed to ensure a sustainable economic and social development of the Black Sea Basin regions.
The implementation period of programme was ten years (2008 – 2018) with a final budget of €32.6 million and €2 million of technical assistance, support offered by EU.
Moldova has benefited from financial assistance for realisation of six projects, with a budget of €2.8 million. Also, Moldova has been a partner of 42 other projects.
The current Black Sea Common Operational Programme has been under implementation for 2014-2020, at present.
