Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) keeps its commitments to development partners and will honour its commitments to citizens. The statement was made today by Moldovan PDM leader, Vlad Plahotniuc, at the end of the weekly meeting of the party.

The leader of the Democrats has reiterated that regardless of some reactions from the European Parliament, Moldova will continue to respect its external commitments. "Also, a major concern for us will be the projects which will provide direct benefits to citizens, for example: social, economic, educational, public healthcare and infrastructure projects. On it, we discussed the possibility of speeding up ongoing reforms and examined launch of new reforms," said Plahotniuc.

He said that at today PDM meeting, Prime Minister Pavel Filip presented a report on fulfillment of our commitments in relation to the International Monetary Fund and European Union, for three financing installments agreed with them. "We found that in our relationship with IMF – commitments of Moldova have been fully fulfilled, and IMF, in its turn, has fulfilled its obligations. In our relationship with EU, we have also fulfilled our commitments and, even if EU has not respected its part of dealings, we will continue to implement reforms to modernise the country," said head of PDM.

Plahotniuc said that authorities in Chisinau fulfilled all terms of the Macro-Financing Agreement with EU not only within the first tranche, but also a large part of necessary reforms for the second and third installments.
