Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ - The First Home programme will be extended and the state will come up with facilities for families with many children. The leader of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM), Vlad Plahotniuc, made statements to this effect at the end of PDM’s weekly meeting today.

The Democrats’ leader noted that the First Home 3 programme was meant to back families with many children. “For several months, the First Home project, meant especially for young people, has been working in Moldova quite well; subsequently, we came up with facilities meant for budgetary employees and today we discussed a new initiative of the Democratic Party, the First Home 3 project – a programme on financial support for the purchasing of dwellings by families with children,” Plahotniuc said.

According to Plahotniuc, the First Home 3 project implied gradual compensation of the mortgage loan, from 10 to 100 per cent, depending on the number of children in the family. “The government will present more details soon, when it will approve these new facilities for families, within the First Home 3 programme,” the PDM leader added.

According to Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the families with one child participating in this programme will benefit from a10-per cent compensation, those with two children – by 20-per cent compensation. The families with three children will receive 50-per cent compensation and the ones with four children and more will get a 100-per cent compensation of the dwelling’s cost.

The PM informed that the First Home 3 programme would become functional immediately after it undergoes all procedures in the cabinet.

The First Home programme was launched by the government on 26 March 2018, in order to back young families. So far, about 200 families have moved to their own dwellings bought within this programme.
