Moldovan PM meets Russian ambassador

Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today had a meeting with Ambassador of Russia to Moldova Farit Mukhametshin, who ends his mandate in the country. The PM thanked the Russian official for his work and personal contribution to maintaining a pragmatic dialogue between the two states, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The prime minister also expressed Moldova’s openness for the further development of the bilateral relations, based on mutual respect, with emphasis put on the well-being of both countries’ citizens. In this context, the PM highlighted Moldova’s interest in boosting the economic cooperation and increasing the trade exchanges with Russia.
For his part, Farit Mukhametshin expressed confidence that the resumption of the work of the Moldovan-Russian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation would foster the bilateral collaboration and would yield new results in the commercial, economic and investment sectors. In the end of the meeting, the Russian ambassador to Moldova thanked the prime minister for the pragmatic cooperation throughout his mandate.
