Moldovan deputy premier meets ambassador of United Kingdom

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic on 17 July had a meeting with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Moldova Lucy Joyce, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The deputy prime minister made a comprehensive analysis of the present situation within the sectoral working groups, as well as of the priorities set at a meeting of the governmental commission for Moldova’s reintegration on 11 July 2018.
Special attention was paid to the issue of human rights in the Transnistrian region, as well as to the dialogue established within the sectoral working group, the activities of which have been recently resumed after a long break. At the same time, the sides pointed out the need of tangible results also on the platform of dialogue of the other sectoral working groups.
The officials also agreed on the necessity to further coordinate the foreign assistance projects, the beneficiaries of which are residents from the Transnistrian region. In this context, the sides highlighted the projects underway and implemented with the support of British authorities.
Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic thanked the British diplomat for the enhanced interested displayed in Transnistria-related problems and for backing the settlement process.
