Chisinau city hall to buy artificial Christmas tree for winter holidays

Chisinau, 22 October /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall will buy an artificial Christmas tree for winter holidays this year. Spokesman of the Chisinau city hall Vadim Brânzaniuc made the statement today.

About 4,000 people attended survey conducted for this purpose by local authorities, and nearly 87 per cent of them voted for an artificial Christmas tree.

The survey was held on 5-15 October on the Chisinau city hall’s Facebook page.

This is the first year when the city hall will install an artificial tree in the center. Christmas tree in the Great National Assembly Square will be inaugurated on December 1.

This year, the local authorities have allocated 200,000 lei to organize winter holidays.
