National library hosts Moldovan – Azerbaijan literary evening

Chisinau, 02 November /MOLDPRES/ – There has taken place a literary evening in Moldavia with entitled: The intercultural dialogue. The poetic recital, today at the National Library of Moldova (BNM). The event took place during the Azerbaijan Literary Days in Moldova, which takes place in Chisinau on 01 – 05 November.
In his greeting message, head of host institution, Elena Pintilei, said that that event creates a bridge between two cultures of two peoples which love their countries and traditions. "We have a fruitful collaboration with the National Library of Azerbaijan, with which we regularly exchange books," said Elena Pintilei.
In his speech, the President of the Union of Writers of Moldova, Arcadie Suceveanu, pointed out that in recent years the writers of Moldova collaborate intensively with those from Azerbaijan, these links being turned into translations of both literatures.
The president of Azerbaijan Writers' Union Association, Anar, at his turn, said that Moldova and Azerbaijan, which have a similar history for two centuries, must strive to make their literatures known internationally.
During the event there were released volumes: "The head" by Elçin (translated by Alexandru Vakulovski); "The time of our fear" by Cinghiz Abdullaev (translated by Igor Volnitsky); The Azerbaijani short prose annotation in Romanian "A letter for dad", Publishing House Junimea, 2018, "The campaign master's monkey" by Ajdar Ol (translation by Nicolae Spataru), the publication of "Dünya adabiyyati" literature from Moldova and others. The event was attended by Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Moldova, Gudsi Dursun oglu Osmanov.
Also here, it was launched CD "Dimitrie Cantemir – the first author of modern Turkish music", produced by Acad. Gheorghe Mustea, the conductor of the Teleradio – Moldova company orchestra, with the support of the President of the Azerbaijani Congress of Moldova, Vugar Novruzov.
On the same day, it was signed a collaboration agreement at the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) between the Institute of Philology of ASM and Institute of Philology of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
On 03 November, at 12:00, at the National Art Museum of Moldova, it will be released novel "White Aries, the black ram" by Anar (translated by Igor Volnitschi).
The days of Azerbaijan literature in Moldova are organised by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moldova, Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) of Moldova and the Writers' Union of Moldova (USM).
