Living conditions in student hostels to be improved

Chisinau, 22 November /MOLDPRES/- Students in the hostels of state educational institutions will have better living conditions, according to a government decision that will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 23 November.

The document provides for amending government decision approving the framework regulation on functioning of hostels subordinated to state educational institutions.

According to the decision, all the hostels of the state educational institutions will be equipped with washing machines, clothes dryers, computers connected to the internet free of charge, bathrooms and sports halls. It also sees that access to hostels will be permanently ensured and there will be no time limit in this respect. At the same time, it is not mandatory to switch off the light after 24:00.

The administrators of the hostels were obliged to ensure access and living conditions for the disabled people.

The educational institutions will create the necessary infrastructure within three months of the entry into force of the government decision.
