Firefighters installed smoke detectors in 30 households in Stefan Voda, Soldanesti

Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/- Over 30 families from Ştefan Vodă and Şoldăneşti districts today benefited from smoke detectors and other one hundred devices will be installed in several households from Orhei district until the winter holidays.
The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies (IGSU), Liliana Puscasu, said that firefighters carried out today a national campaign - A protected home - a saved life.
"IGSU employees have spoken to people about the use of heating sources. At the same time, firefighters urged citizens to be alert to the signal of smoke detectors. The first beneficiaries were elderly people and sick people," Puscasu said.
Over 3,000 families across the country benefited from smoke detectors within the campaign. Since early this year in Moldova there were over 1,500 fires that have killed 95 people.
