Moldovan Socialists' republican council approves list of candidates for parliamentary elections

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/- The Party of Socialists of Moldova (PSRM) announced today it has completed the list of candidates and electoral platform for 24 February parliamentary elections.

The meeting of the Republican Council of the party took place this morning. It focused on the final list of candidates of PSRM in the parliament both on the electoral lists and on the uninominal constituencies.

First place in the list of Socialists is Zinaida Greceanii, followed by Vlad Bătrincea and Ion Ceban.

Among the top 10 are Eduard Smirnov, Bogdan Tirdea, Ivanna Keksal, Alla Dolinta, Victor Gaiciuc, Alla Pilipeţca and Vladimir Golovatiuc.

Also, the PSRM presented the election program.

According to the party press service, the Socialists will promote the following goals and values in the electoral campaign: statehood, strategic partnership with the Russian Federation and cooperation with the European Union, country reunification, economic development and job creation, social equity, fighting corruption, concern for environment, international peace and protection of Orthodox religion.

The same press release says that Socialists, if they win the elections, will increase average wage during four years, restore exports of Moldovan products to the Russian market and reduce gas price.
