Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ - Over 80 fine artists have presented their works at an exhibition and contest of contemporary fine art titled Eminesciana (dedicated to great poet Mihai Eminescu), at the sixth issue. The exhibition was inaugurated at the Constantin Brancusi Exhibition centre today.  .

The exhibition comprises 86 works of graphic, painting, pottery and sculpture.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the Fine Artists Union of Moldova, Dumitru Bolboceanu, has said that the aforementioned exhibition was organized for the 14th time; yet, it has become an exhibition and contest in the last six years.

„Since the moment when the exhibition became a contest one, it has acquired a new look and registered a qualitative leap. The works displayed are diverse and have a good artistic level. They should not necessarily show the subjects dealing with poet Mihai Eminescu, but the exhibition on the whole is a homage paid to our classical poet. With this inauguration, we open the 2019 exhibition year, when we will have important exhibitions, such as the International Biennial of Painting, International Biennial of Engraving, Moldova’s Saloons, etc.,’’ Dumitru Bolboceanu noted.

The exhibition will be opened till 27 January.
