Agenda of cultural events in Moldova for 15-17 January

Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Organ Hall hosts a concert titled, Romanian and European values, organized by Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau and Mihai Eminescu Romanian Cultural Institute on 16 January at 18:00. The event is held on the National Culture Day and is occasioned by the taking over by Romania of the presidency of the European Union’s Council.
According to the organizers, the concert will be given by the National Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Cristian Florea, National Chamber Choir, led by Ilona Stepan, Band of Pipe Players, led by Ion Negura, soloists Stefan Negura (panpipe), Ion Negura (junior) (flute) and Dumitru Catalin Advahov (violin). The programme contains music by composers George Enescu, J. Bach, P. Ravel, A. Dvorak, A. Vivaldi, T. Chiriac, F. Liszt, P. Sarasate and others.
A flute and piano recital by Maria Gheorghieva (piano) and Keita Lalla (flute), takes place at the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic on 15 January at 18:30. Music by Ch. Gluck, F. Doppler, F. Schubert, J. Brahms, M. Ravel, F. Poulenc and others is to be sung at the concert.
On 17 January at 18:00, the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic hosts a symphony concert occasioned by the National Culture Day. Singers are to be accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic, conducted by People’s Artist Mihail Agafita.
The programme includes works by Ciprian Porumbescu, B. Bartok, F. Chopin, G. Bizet, L. Delibes, G. Puccini, J. Strauss, R. Wagner, J. Brahms, A. Dvorak, G. Gimenez, A. Benjamin, E. Doga and other composers.
On the same day at 14:00, a play titled, 100 Minutes of Freedom, by Bogdan Saratean, - a co-production made with the by Satiricus I.L. Caragiale National Theatre and the Radu Stanca National Theatre from Sibiu, is performed at the Satiricus Theatre. At 18:00, the Luceafarul Theatre hosts a play titled, Testamentul (The Will) by Gheorghe Urschi and the play Macbeth by Giuseppe Verdi is presented at the Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre at 18:30 and the A.P. Chekhov Russian State Dramatic theatre hosts the play, Three Lives of Isadora Duncan by Z. Sagalov at the same time.
