Moldovan exports to EU increase

Chisinau, 16 January /MOLDPRES/ - The exports of Moldovan goods to European Union countries had a share of 69.4 per cent of all exports in January-November 2018. Thus, the supplies of goods from Moldova to the EU market increased by 19.9 per cent and amounted to 1.7 billion U.S. dollars. The data has been made public by the National Statistics Bureau (BNS).
Official statistics shows that, on the same period of 2017, the quota of exports to EU stood at 65.7 per cent.
On the other hand, the exports of goods to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries decreased by 9.7 per cent and their share in Moldova’s exports accounted for 15.5 per cent in the first 11 months of 2018, against 19.5 per cent in January-November 2017.
According to BNS, Moldova exported goods worth 2.48 billion dollars in January-November 2018, of which more than 68 per cent represent native goods.
At the same time, on the same period, the import of goods amounted to 5.24 billion dollars, - up by 20.3 per cent against the volume recorded on the same period of 2017.
