Moldovan central electoral commission establishes order for registration of two potential candidates in ballot

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ – The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has established the pre – voting order for two potential electoral contestants to be included into ballot.
According to the Commission's information and media communication service, they have filed on 17 January the necessary documents for registration of candidates for the post of MP on the national constituency at the parliamentary elections of 24 February 2019.
Following the draw, the Central Electoral Commission has established their prior order of enrollment in the ballot as follows: National Liberal Party (PLN) – 8th position and Political Party Vointa Poporului (The people's will) – 9th position.
According to the Electoral Code, the CEC carries out the registration of the nominated candidates within 7 days of the receipt of documents. The order of entry into the bulletin remains final only after registration with the CEC as electoral contestants.
The parliamentary elections of 2019 will take place after a mixed electoral system, the MPs being elected both on party lists and in constituencies.
