General inspectorate of police doubles number of employees in traffic management in Chisinau

Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/ – The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) has announced today that it doubled the number of police officers involved in trafficking in the most crowded roundabouts and intersections in Chisinau.
According to the IGP's information and media communication service, the decision to double the number of policemen was taken on 21 January at a working meeting with the subdivisions responsible for traffic management in Chisinau.
Starting today, the employees of IGP will be more active in conducting road traffic at intersections and roundabouts in Chisinau. Also, the General Carabineer Inspectorate (IGC) will ensure the presence of employees around educational institutions to help children and parents cross safely the most dangerous junctions and crossings for pedestrians.
Similarly, in the context of unfavourable weather conditions, the IGP recommends that drivers properly equip their vehicles and drive at low speeds. The police also warns drivers not to park cars on the roadside, both in Chisinau and on roads of the country, so as to let snow removal equipment to intervene.
