Defects found on Moldova's roads repaired in 2018 to be removed at expense of entrepreneurs

Chisinau, 04 February /MOLDPRES/ – All roads rehabilitated in 2018 under Programme: Drumuri bune pentru Moldova (The good roads for Moldova) were examined before putting into use and their quality was confirmed by the lab tests. Also, the detected defects will be resolved by the entrepreneurs. This statement has been made by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI) related to it.

According to the State Secretary of MEI, Anatol Usatii, this winter will be an important test for the quality of the work done. "We have checked repeatedly the quality of each road section and its condition after operation. If there are detected irregularities, as soon as weather conditions allow, all entrepreneurs will have to repair the affected areas at their own expense," said Anatol Usatii.

Also, the MEI continues the processing of the requests from the local public authorities (ALP) of level II, for the inclusion of the areas that need to be rehabilitated throughout programme: The good roads 2 for Moldova.

In 2019, it will be rehabilitated 2,600 km of roads across Moldova. In November 2018, the MEI started the process of collecting proposals on the road sections to be included in the programme. Recently, vice – president of the Democrats' party (PDM), Vladimir Cebotari, has announced that rehabilitation works will start in March 2019.
