Ecologist Green Party of Moldova starts electoral campaign

Chisinau, 4 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Ecologist Green Party today started its electoral campaign for the parliamentary polls due on 24 February.
The launch took place outside the parliament building. The party’s management and more of its supporters took part in the event.
The leader of the formation, Anatolie Prohnitchi, unveiled the party’s electoral programme. He spoke out for “a clean parliament and a clean country.”
„The electoral programme is based on the sectors: education, health and social protection, environmental protection, rule of law and justice, fighting corruption, economy, foreign policy, security and defence. We want a rich country, where the citizens will have decent living,” Prohnitchi said.
Beginning with late last January, more electoral contenders started the electoral campaign. Among them, there are: the Democratic Party of Moldova, Party of Socialists, electoral bloc Dignity and Truth Platform and Action and Solidarity Party, Antimafia People’s Movement Party, Liberal Party, National Liberal Party, as well as more independent candidates.
The parliamentary polls due on 24 February will be held according to a mixed electoral system. Thus, 50 MPs will be elected on party lists and 51 lawmakers – in uninominal districts.
