Moldovan electoral body approves model, text of ballot paper for elections

Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) approved the model and text of the ballot for the parliamentary elections in the national constituency.
According to CEC member Veaceslav Agrigoroae, in the ballot paper, "candidates names will be set in capital letters."
According to the decision, the ballot paper will have 15 quadrants. Each of them will have the dimensions of 110 mm x 20 mm. The length of the ballot paper will be 385 mm and the width - 140 mm.
In all, four ballot papers will be proposed to citizens in the elections on 24 February. Two will be for parliamentary elections, and two for the consultative referendum.
The 24 February parliamentary elections will be organized for the first time under a mixed system. Thus, 50 MPs will be elected on party lists and 51 - in uninominal constituencies. Also, on election day, there will be a consultative referendum on reducing the number of deputies from 101 to 61 and removing them from office, if they fail to perform their duties properly.
