Meteorologists extend yellow code of strong wind

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/- The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) extended the Yellow Code of strong wind by Tuesday.
According to meteorologists, today, in extended areas the north-west strong wind is expected, gusting up to 18-23 meters per second.
According to specialists, for the time being, the meteorological situation in the country cannot be characterized as particularly critical, but it must be taken into account that among the dangerous meteorological phenomena the greatest danger in March is the strong winds and heavy snowfalls.
On 12 March, the weather will cool down, especially at night when the air temperature will be even below 0 degrees. On 12-14 March, the air temperature will reach +10 degrees during the day, and light rains are expected in the north and south of the country. At the end of this week, the air temperature will increase up to +16 +18 degrees on Sunday.
In the case of Yellow Code, weather conditions are potentially dangerous, forecast weather phenomena are common for the country, but temporarily can become dangerous for certain socio-economic activities.
