Methodology for enrolling children in first grade to be changed

Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/- The first-grade enrollment methodology will be changed so that children born between 1 September -31 December can be enrolled in the first round of admission. Acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu made the statement today.

The decision was taken following talks with Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc. "Every year, we have about 1,000 children born after 1 September who were not admitted to school in the first round of admission. The methodology will most likely be changed this week so that we can adapt the e-school platform, and the parents of the 1,000 children can record them without waiting for tour 2 or without stress for about two months,” he said.

On 1 April 2019, e-school platform was launched, through which parents in the capital can register their children in first grade online. The first stage of enrolling children in the first grade will end on 13 June. The second stage will take place on 17-28 June and 1-30 August. The final list of enrolled children will be made public on 30 August.
