Moldova’s centre district locality connected to aqueduct, sewerage networks

Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/ – Over 1,000 households in Magdacesti village, Criuleni district, are supplied with drinking water and connected to sewerage networks. It became possible as a result of the successful completion of the infrastructure project worth MDL 33 million, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
"This event here in Magdacesti is about the 1,000 households that have access to infrastructure. And these projects will continue, because they are for people," said Pavel Filip.
The PM said that infrastructure is the foundation of Moldova's development, being declared a priority of Government. "Over the course of 3 years of governance, in the first two years we connected 106,000 households to drinking water, and in the third year we designed connection for 100,000 families. If everyone had worked in the same way, in 28 years of Independence, absolutely every citizen would have been connected to water and sanitation infrastructure," said PM.
Under project, there were built 3 km of aqueduct, 31 km of sewerage networks, 01 sewage treatment plant and 02 pumping stations in Magdacesti. The works were made from the contribution of the National Ecological Fund (FNE) – over MDL 28 million and locality’s one – MDL 4.6 million.
Pavel Filip has specified that the Government is also currently working to solve other infrastructure issues, including solid waste management and road infrastructure rehabilitation. The PM also visited a part of road in Magdacesti village, which is due to be built in 2019, within project Good roads 2. It was allocated MDL 1 million for road rehabilitation with a length of about 500 m.
In 2018, with the help of programme Good Roads, it was repaired the road that provided access to church, kindergarten and high school. The works were carried out on a length of 800 m and cost about MDL 1.4 million.
