Chisinau, 24 April /MOLDPRES/- The National Patrol Inspectorate (INP) announced it will step up the measures to streamline traffic in the central market region in the coming days, where a large number of citizens are traditionally coming on the eve of Easter.

According to the INP press service, traditionally during Easter holidays a large number of citizens come to Chisinau and road traffic is more intense in the central market region and nearby areas.

Thus, INP has decided to step up its activities to streamline and monitor road traffic and urges drivers to comply with the following rules: pay attention to pedestrians; avoid the busiest streets; keep proper distance from other vehicles, avoid traffic in peak hours etc.

According to INP data, only last weekend, over 1,100 drivers were documented by patrol policemen for traffic violation.
