Chisinau, 25 April /MOLDPRES/- Regulation on emergencies in gas market will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 26 April.

The document sets out the basic principles and rules governing the functions of natural gas market participants, the actions to be taken, the prevention measures for the coordination of activities on the gas market and the actions to be taken in case of gas supply disruptions.

At the same time, the Regulation defines emergencies and sets out the responsibilities of authorities and gas companies, in particular transmission system operators.

Moldova has no internal sources of natural gas supply, no gas storage facilities, nor capacities to supply liquefied gas. Thus, at present, our country is almost entirely dependent on the supply of natural gas from a single source, ie the import of 99.9% of natural gas from the Russian Federation.
