Moldovan capital hosts meeting of experts on post issues

Chisinau, 25 April /MOLDPRES/ - A meeting of experts in the sector of post services, with the participation of specialists in the customs field, took place at the Chisinau-based headquarters of the OSCE Mission in Moldova, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The subject of the discussions was focused on aspects dealing with the providing of post services on both banks of Dniester. The Chisinau experts explained requirements needed to be observed in the light of the provisions of the normative framework in force and made clarifications as regards the legal ways of settling problems tackled by experts on behalf of Tiraspol.

Also, the participants in the meeting reiterated that the Moldovan side, in early 2019, proposed the algorithm of the actions necessary to be undertaken to provide the residents of the Transnistrian region with post sendings. Yet, regretfully, despite the coordinations carried out by post operators, Tiraspol’s representatives continue to politicize the subject.

The discussions on this topic will continue at the next meeting of the competent experts, due to be set in working regime.
