Moldovan, European officials discuss political developments in country

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip met European Council President Donald Tusk in Brussels on 13 May. The officials discussed the political developments in Moldova and achievements in implementing the European agenda, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The premier reiterated that the European integration and the implementation of the Association Agreement is a strategic priority of Moldova. "Since 2016, when we took office, we have consistently promoted reforms based on the Association Agreement. I would particularly highlight the results recorded in the economic, budgetary-fiscal and financial-banking fields. At the same time, we will continue efforts to strengthen justice and implement good governance principles, " he said.
The premier also noted it is important that the reforms initiated by the current government to be continued and future ruling coalition be firmly committed to implementing the Association Agreement with the European Union.
