Moldovan parliament's museum to open doors for wide public on 18 May

Chisinau, 15 May /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament of Moldova participates in the European Night of Museums with a special programme for the third year in a row. The Parliament’s Museum will open its doors for the wide public at 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00.
According to the parliament’s press service, the access to the parliament’s building is made based on the identity card, with no preliminary scheduling needed.
The collection of parliament’s epoch vehicles will be presented to public also on 18 May. The cars ZIL 41047 and CIAIKA GAZ 14 in the past were used for carrying high-ranking officials, being utilized by the former presidents of Moldova, Mircea Snegur and Petru Lucinschi.
At the same time, an exhibition of photographers accredited in the parliament will be arranged. The pictures show novel moments of the country’s political life, from diverse events and actions carried out at the parliament.
Screenings of movies, which show the history of the parliament, legislative process and parliamentary openness, are prepared for visitors too.
The Moldovan Parliament’s Museum was inaugurated on 23 May 2017. Among the exhibits, there are historical documents, photos, books, a string of objects donated by the Royal House of Romania, as well as protocol presents received by lawmakers during years.
The European Night of Museums is a yearly event patronized by the Council of Europe, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and International Council of Museums.
