Moldova's representative not qualified for grand finale of Eurovision 2019

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/- Ten more countries have qualified for the grand finale of the Eurovision Song Contest-2019, which takes place on 14-18 May in Tel Aviv. Representative of the Republic of Moldova Anna Odobescu did not get the necessary votes from the jury and the public in the second semifinal yesterday to reach the great final, due on 18 May in Israel.
Representatives from 26 countries will perform in the last stage of the contest.
So far, Moldova has been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest by Zdob si Zdub, Natalia Gordienko, Natalia Barbu, Geta Burlacu, Nelly Ciobanu, DoReDos, Olia Tira, Pasha Parfeni, Aliona Moon, Cristina Scarlat, Eduard Romanyuta, Lidia Isac and Sun Stroke Project.
Moldova has been participating in the competition since 2005, and the official broadcaster is Moldova 1 television channel.
