Prices for Chisinau-Odessa train tickets to increase

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ - The prices for the Chisinau-Odessa train tickets will increase as of 24 May. The Railway of Moldova (CFM) made statements to this effect today.
According to CFM, the decision was a taken as a result of the increase in prices for fuels and fluctuations of the exchange rate. Thus, the cost of a travel in the first- and second-class carriages of the modernized Chisinau-Odessa train No 642/641 will be changed. At the same time, the coefficient of indexation for the third-class carriage will remain unchanged.
Thus, the price of a travel will grow by more than ten lei and will be 195 lei for the first class and 180 lei for the second class. The tickets for the third-class railway carriages will cost 150 lei.
CFM also informed that the number of first- and second-class places would be doubled at a demand by passengers, in order to supply railway carriages during all the summer season.
The Chisinau-Odessa train No 642/641 sets out from the Chisinau railway station at 7:05 and reaches the destination at 10:45. At the return, the train sets out in Odessa at 18:45 and arrives in Chisinau at 22:20.
