Government approves new measures to support people of Transnistria

Chisinau, 29 May /MOLDPRES/- The cabinet today approved several laws, which resolved in a positive way a number of current issues faced by residents of the Transnistrian region, the government’s communication and protocol department reported.
Thus, the procedures for certifying the civil status acts recorded in the localities on the left bank of Dniestre and Bender were established. This decision complements the list of instruments set up by the government to guarantee the fundamental rights and freedoms of residents of the Transnistrian region.
Thus, the birth of a person, death, paternity, change of name / surname, marriage, and divorce may be made subject to certification. Certification of these acts can only be carried out under conditions similar to those provided by the legislation of Moldova.
Therefore, citizens residing in the territory will receive civil status documents issued by the constitutional authorities, and the relevant services will be provided by specialized subdivisions of the Public Service Agency.
It was also extended to the end of the second semester of 2019 the time limit for oil products through the border crossing point Novosaviţcaia-Cuciurgan, ensuring possibility clearance of these products at the customs post Bender 2.This period may be suspended if joint control at that point is set by the expiry of six months.
Promoting these laws is proof that the new measures of the government are intended to support people and economic agents in the region.
