Chisinau, 5 June /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has extended the Yellow Code of heavy thunderstorm rains, hail and storm till 6 June.
According to meteorologists, thunderstorm rains are forecast for the concerned period, quite heavy ones in some regions (15-25 litres/square metre), with hail and strong wind, gusting up to 15-20 metres/second.
The Yellow Code of local sub-flooding, issued by hydrologists, remains in force till 7 June.
The rainy weather will maintain during this week, especially in northern Moldova, where rains are expected practically daily. Yet, the precipitation will not influence the air temperatures: up to +30 Celsius degrees during the day and between +13 and +18 degrees at night.
In case of yellow code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous; the meteorological phenomena forecast (thunderstorm rains, wind gusting, high or low air temperatures, risk of increase in the flow and level of rivers and small rivers, etc.) are usual for Moldova’s territory; yet, they may temporarily become dangerous for certain social and economic activities
