Chisinau, 07 June /MOLDPRES/ – On Friday, 07 June, Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, has attended the National Confederation of Trade Unions (CNSM), on occasion of the Trade Unionist Day, celebrated today. The Premier has appreciated the productive partnership of the Government and trade unions, noting it being, firstly, a partnership for people and for their welfare, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

"All that I have done since I assumed the responsibility of heading the Government has been focused upon the work we need to do to bring people to well – being, so that our citizens notice daily that things are improving. In recent 3 years, the average pension has increased by almost 50 per cent, and wages in education have increased by 84 per cent, in medicine – by 83 per cent. In 3 years, the average salary on the economy has increased by 50 per cent and has reached around MDL 7,000," said Pavel Filip.

The PM has said that although these pensions and wages are still modest, the issues have to be viewed in complexity: where it came from and where it arrived. It is important that this growth rate is maintained. "The trade unions, employers and local public administration (APL) are elements of a mechanism designed to make the lives of people better, here at home, in Moldova", specified Pavel Filip.

The most active members of trade unions were awarded with the Honorary Diploma of the Government for dedication and engagement.

The Trade Unionist Day is marked on 07 June yearly, for the 12th consecutive year. The CNSM consists of 25 national – branch trade union centres, which have over 350,000 members.
