Head of Moldova's national anticorruption centre revoked from office

Chisinau, 08 June /MOLDPRES/ – Bogdan Zumbreanu has been revoked from office as director of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA), on Saturday, 08 June, by vote of 61 MPs of the Socialists' party (PSRM) and block ACUM.
According to the decision of the legislature, candidacy of Bogdan Zumbreanu does not correspond to legal appointment requirements.
Also on Saturday, the MPs of block ACUM and PSRM have adopted a statement condemning the attempted usurpation of state power in favour of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM) by the Constitutional Court (CC).
The CC of Moldova has examined today the PDM's complaint on the constitutional review of the legislative acts adopted by MPs of the 10th legislature on 08 June 2019 and it has declared unconstitutional the election of Zinaida Greceanii as Speaker of Parliament (SP). Also today the CC has decided that all legislative acts (laws, rulings) adopted by Members of the Parliament of Moldova for the 10th legislature on 08 June 2019 and thereafter will be declared unconstitutional.
