Repair work in schools, kindergartens in Chisinau performed of 99%

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/- The repair works carried out during 2019 in the pre-university educational institutions in the capital, as well as in the ones of early education, are in an advanced stage of development, about 99%, according to the Chisinau city hall.

Specifically, repair of general category in the municipal educational institutions and early education in the capital are made of 98.5 percent. Thus, out of 131 planned institutions works are being carried out in 129 institutions. At the same time, the repairs of the roofs are completed of 83%, the repair of the electrical networks has been completed in full and the sanitary and heating technology - 94.9%.

The head of the Directorate for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Rodica Guțu, said on August 19 at the operative meeting of the city hall services that 66.7 million lei were allocated for the planned works in 252 schools and kindergartens in the capital. All categories of works are expected to be completed by 25 August. Starting from 1 September, all institutions will operate according to the approved program.

The works include the repair of roofs, sanitary blocks, engineering networks, general repairs in canteens, halls and sports halls, groups, bedrooms, laundries, corridors, facades and changing windows.
