Central electoral commission sets ceiling for financial means possible to be transferred to electoral fund of Moldova

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Central Election Commission (CEC) has set the general ceiling of the financial means that can be transferred to the bank account "electoral fund" at the new parliamentary elections on 20 October 2019.
According to CEC's data, the ceiling for this fund may not exceed MDL 69,750.00 for each initiative group within a uninominal constituency.
At the same time, the CEC has also established the general ceiling of the financial means that can be transferred to the "electoral fund" account of the electoral competitor in uninominal constituencies №№ 17, 33, 48 and 50 at the new parliamentary elections on 20 October 2019, amounting up to MDL 2,092,800.00 for each electoral contestant.
In this context, it was decided the amount of the interest – free credit granted to the electoral competitors at the new parliamentary elections on 20 October 2019, as follows: MDL 50,000 for parties and electoral blocks and MDL 10,000 for independent candidates.
The new parliamentary elections are to be held in 04 constituencies on 20 October, concurrently with local elections. The inhabitants of Nisporeni district, constituency №17, where it was elected Vladimir Plahotniuc, district №33, where it was voted Andrei Nastase, district №48, where it was elected Viorel Melnic, and district №50 Western Europe, where it was voted Maia Sandu.
