Chisinau, 22 August /MOLDPRES/- The decision on the election of the head of the Constitutional Court will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 23 August.

According to the document, Vladimir Turcan was elected on August 19, by secret ballot, for a three-year term as head of the Constitutional Court.

This decision is final, comes into force upon adoption and shall be published in the Official Journal of Moldova.

For the position of head, two candidates were submitted: Vladimir Turcan and Liuba Sova. Four of the six magistrates of the Constitutional Court voted for Turcan's candidacy. Also on August 19, the court ruled that Judge Liuba Sova will perform the duties of the CCM head in his absence.
