District in Ungheni to be restored with support of Poland

Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/- A district in Ungheni municipality was included in a rehabilitation program, supported by Polish government. Work began in August and includes reconstruction of a kindergarten.
"Following the analysis of the social, economic and environmental indicators, it was found that Ungheni Vale district needs a special intervention, a special approach, specific to the problems identified here: high unemployment, high number of disadvantaged families, lack of green areas, increased risk of floods etc. The program included the priority directions of intervention, focusing efforts on improving living conditions of inhabitants of the area. We started with the implementation of the project of launching a kindergarten, ” Alexandru Ambros, mayor of Ungheni, said.
The cost of the first stage of rehabilitation of the building, intended for kindergarten, is 3.7 million lei, of which over one million lei are offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Polish Republic through the Polish development cooperation program.
Besides the reconstruction of the kindergarten, the Ungheni City Hall has carried out several actions to improve the infrastructure in this sector: it has installed public lighting, the repair of the courtyards of several blocks, with the renovation of sidewalks and the arrangement of parking lots.
