Former leader of Moldovan Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc put on international wanted list

Chisinau, 29 October /MOLDPRES/ - The former leader of the Moldovan Democratic Party (PDM), Vlad Plahotniuc, has been put on the international and inter-state wanted list.
According to the press service of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office (PA), the former PDM leader has capacity of accused person on criminal files managed by PA, opened for committing money laundering in particularly large amounts.
“Taking into account the disregarding of the summons issued by anticorruption prosecutors and his failure to come to the criminal prosecution body, citizen Vladimir Plahotniuc, initially put on a national wanted list and against whom the preventive measure of preventive arrest was applied, was put on international and inter-state wanted list by the National Anticorruption Centre,” a PA’s press release reads.
The former PDM leader, Vlad Plahotniuc, left Moldova on 14 June 2019, when the government led by Pavel Filip informed that it was resigning.
