Moldovan foreign minister meets counterpart of Monaco

Chisinau, 31 October /MOLDPRES/- The implementation stage of the projects benefiting from the support of the Foundation Prince Albert II of Monaco and joint projects on the Francophone dimension were among the topics discussed on 30 October in Monaco by Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu and his counterpart , Laurent Anselmi, on the sidelines of the 36th Ministerial Conference of Francophonie, the MAEIE’s press service has reported.
The talks focused on the implementation stage of the projects benefiting from the support of the Prince Albert II Monaco Foundation, namely the rehabilitation of the Botanical Garden and the conservation of soil fertility in Orhei National Park. In this context, Popescu thanked Monaco for financing the two projects, informing about the actions taken in order to use these funds.
Popescu pointed out Moldova’s interest to start projects on Francophonie, especially training courses for Francophone students in the country, in order to take over best practices in areas such as medicine, information technologies, business management and social entrepreneurship.
The official congratulated his counterpart of Monaco on recent appointment and thanked for the excellent organisation of the Ministerial Conference of Francophonie. At the same time, Popescu invited Laurent Anselmi to visit Moldova in the near future.
The 36th Ministerial Conference of Francophonie takes place on 30-31 October in Monaco.
