Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine have common stance on future of Eastern Partnership

Chisinau, 5 December /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Aureliu Ciocoi participated jointly with foreign ministers of the Eastern Partnership states in a breakfast meeting organized at the initiative of the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, Josep Borrell. The discussion was held on the sidelines of the 26th OSCE Ministerial Council, which takes place in Bratislava on 5-6 December.
According to the MAEIE’s press service, Ciocoi pointed out the EU role in backing reforms and positive transformations in the Eastern Partnership states. Moldova advocates for deepening dialogue with European institutions and remains firmly attached to the goal of implementing the Association Agreement and using the DCFTA potential.
"The beginning of the mandate of the new European Commission should convey a new impetus to the Eastern Partnership. Moldova supports the endorsement of an ambitious agenda, meant to bring the Eastern partners closer to the EU through political, economic and sectoral ties ”, he said.
On this occasion, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine presented a common position on the future of the Eastern Partnership, which reconfirmed the importance of differentiation and expressed desire to extend the spectrum of topics of common dialogue of the three partners associated with the European Commission.
