Moldovan foreign minister meets OSCE Chairman-in-Office

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/- On the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting held in Bratislava (Slovakia) on 5-6 December, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Aureliu Ciocoi had a meeting with OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajcak today, the MAEIE’s press service has reported.
The officials approached some issues on exercising the mandate of OSCE Chairman-in-Office by Slovakia this year and the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Bratislava. The Moldovan official thanked the Slovak counterpart for the efforts in promoting the negotiations on the Transnistrian conflict settlement, including the holding in Bratislava this October of the 5+2 meeting, which has resulted in the adoption of a ministerial declaration on the matter.
The two officials reviewed the current issues on the agenda of the Moldovan-Slovak bilateral relations, opting for further political dialogue and cooperation in various areas of common interest. In this context, Ciocoi reported on the firm determination of the new government of Chisinau to continue the structural reforms, in line with the commitments made by the Moldova-EU Association Agreement. He thanked the Slovak side for the support in this regard and keeping our country in the list of priority states on development assistance.
