PCCOCS chief to return to old position

Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/- Starting from 10 December, the chief prosecutor of the Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office, Viorel Morari, will be delegated to the General Prosecutor's Office, for a period of one month, and chief prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes (PCCOCS) Dorin Compan will return to the position of prosecutor in the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office. Press officer of the General Prosecutor's Office Emil Gaitur made the statement.

He noted that as regards the persons who will ensure the interim of these institutions, the Prosecutor General will decide today.

Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo ordered today the execution by two groups of specially appointed prosecutors of a complex control of the activity of specialized prosecutors - Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office and Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes.

According to the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office, the controls aim at verifying and evaluating the activity of the two specialized units of the Prosecutor's Office on all dimensions of competence, according to specific indicators, set out in provisions for 2016 to present.
