Moldovan PM meets group of Czech investors

Chisinau, 10 December /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today met a group of Czech investors, who have recently purchased the Gas Natural Fenosa electricity distribution networks. This enterprise serves about three fourths of Moldova’s electric energy consumers, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.     

The business people said that they had taken the decision to invest in Moldova, on grounds that the country has an advantageous geographical position. The Czech investors informed the PM about the intention to implement projects on the production of electric energy in Moldova.    

Through these projects, Moldova will consolidate its energy security and will diminish its dependence on the energy resources from outside the country.   

The prime minister informed the investors about the government’s priorities for the next period and the goals set.

„Your investment in Moldova is a strong message also for other potential investors. The government will do its utmost to create maximally attractive conditions for the business environment,” Ion Chicu added.
