Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today adopted the draft on the budgetary, fiscal and customs policy in the final reading. The document was backed by 60 MPs.
The main policies of the draft law are the maintaining of the tax on private people’s income at a 12-per cent level. Also, a part of the present quotas of the value added tax (VAT) and excise duties will be maintained next year as well.
The document sees a diminution of the tax imposed on donations from 12 per cent to 6 per cent, change of the period of the VAT’s payment on services imported and change of the term of the payment of excise duties. Also, the draft stipulates a procedure of unification of the term of declaring and payment of the real estate tax.
Among the goals set in the draft on the budgetary, fiscal and customs policy, there are the extension of the progressive imposing of the tax on the value of imported touring cars, imposing VAT on electronic services provided by non-resident economic agents, improving of the tax on water through establishing the obligation of paying the concerned tax for the subjects due to bottle water.
In 2020, the lawmakers will return to considering the situations in the terms of VAT quota’s payment, especially on the agro-industrial production, in order to conceptually solve the problem of certain discrepancies in this respect; yet, at the same time, without distorting the country’s tax system.
