Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - We have the task to find the things which unite us in parliament; therefore, I am happy that many important social and economic initiatives were unanimously voted by the lawmakers on important subjects, even if we do not have parliamentary majority. I think that this is a significant achievement, Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii said after a working meeting with the Moldovan president and prime minister today, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The parliament speaker called on the MPs to further back and promote drafts for the benefit of the entire society and the country.
”There were quite hot discussions in parliament; yet, it is important that the country enters the New Year with the state budgets approved. This happens when work is done in tandem; the needed resources are found in this way, even if they have earlier claimed that there would have been no money for the indexation of pensions and increasing the salaries. But if we want, we can find. The sources were identified inside the country, as if one wants to do something, he/she must work, not just come up with statements and put the blame on others,” the parliament speaker noted.
Zinaida Greceanii presented the updated data of the parliament’s work, which started, de facto, on 8 June. On this period, about 293 legislative initiatives were registered, 175 legislative initiatives were voted, 73 laws and 102 decisions were adopted.
